Dr Henrietta Lake

Henrietta has 10 years experience working on ethical sourcing issues in global supply chains from garments and footwear to cocoa, toys and IT. She has worked closely with a large number of European and North American buyers to improve their contractors’ compliance with international labour standards, handle remediation issues and put in place preventative measures through supplier training. Recent projects include mediating forums and providing guidance and tools for UK food suppliers for M&S Suppliers Exchange, and the design and implementation of a training programme for the suppliers of several leading global clothing brands. Prior to her work in ethical sourcing Henrietta was a financial journalist for The Mail on Sunday and The Times. She has a BA from Oxford University, and an MA and Ph.D. from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Massachusetts.
