Alan Roberts

Alan is regarded as one of the leading authorities in Europe on ethical trade. He was one of the founders of the Ethical Trade Initiative and has been ETI Chairman since 2001.

Alan has had a lifelong career in retailing, with specific emphasis on worldwide sourcing and supply chain management encompassing a wide variety of consumer products. His early career was spent with Marks and Spencer before joining the Slimma Group, Coats Viyella, Dewhirst and Littlewoods.

Alan has worked as a consultant since 2002, working with global brands and retailers to develop and implement 'best in class' supply chain strategies with specific emphasis on the effective implementation of codes of labour practice in international supply chains.
