The quality of our work is clear
Sancroft works for clients around the world, in many different sectors, on the full range of corporate responsibility issues. We have selected some case studies to show the breadth and quality of the work we undertake for our clients.
FMCG S.A.:
a global consumer goods business
The chief executive of FMCG S.A. decided his company should become a recognized leader in sustainability. Sancroft worked with the operational and environmental teams to develop an integrated environmental strategy, focussing on the use of long term targets to help the company shift focus on achieving its environmental ambitions. Benchmarking of competitors and sustainability leaders was carried out to understand the nature and ambition of the approaches of these other companies. Detailed internal dialogue and analysis was undertaken to assess the viability of bold new targets. After over a year of consideration, the company introduced a target to halve total carbon emissions by 2015, as well as cutting water and waste by 25% relative to output. These targets put the company in a leading position on climate change, reinforcing the most valuable brand in the sector.

Clothes-for-U Corp.:
a clothing retailer
Clothes-for-U Corp. wanted to ensure high labour standards in its increasingly complex supply chain. Sancroft helped to create an ethical trade strategy to move the company from a basic level of ethical compliance to one of best practice, with appropriate and challenging performance indicators and implemented a board level reporting system. Sancroft then helped Clothes-for-U Corp. execute its new strategy: we assessed the company’s supply base and revised the audit programme to prioritize areas of high risk; we built capacity both internally and externally to implement change throughout the supply chain; and as part of a wider communications strategy we helped Clothes-for-U communicate what it had done, including facilitating several NGO partnerships on behalf of the company. The result has been a rapid improvement in the brand reputation of Clothes-for-U and a far deeper internal knowledge of the company's supply base.
