Developing or refining a Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy can be a daunting task for a company to take on alone. In this relatively new field, unpicking the maze of reporting initiatives, environmental and social data requirements, and government legislation is not easy for the uninitiated. Sancroft provides the expertise to help companies address such problems, working with them at boardroom level to achieve best practice at lowest cost.
We often find that we can achieve the desired progress more quickly and cost-effectively than the alternative - that of building, training and resourcing an in-house CR team. That said, our approach is to activate and motivate internal resources in order to secure lasting change and leave companies well-placed to run their own CR affairs.
There are also instances in which our strategic advice is wanted on a less specific basis. In regular meetings for a number of clients we act as a ‘think tank’ to flag up the latest CR, wider reputational and emerging issues likely to become increasingly important in the future. These tend to cover a broad range of subjects from globalisation, brand reputation and trust and corporate governance to public confidence and political developments. This sort of forethought is essential to any large company operating successfully in a world where it is easy for complacency to become the downside of success and where one small mistake can destroy a reputation that it has taken years to build. We think through these together and discuss possible solutions to potential problems. Our experience and expertise in these issues makes us ideally placed to provide such a service.
