Implementation
Although much of our work is at board level, we also realise the need to ensure that the strategies to improve environmental and social performance agreed by senior management are implemented on the ground. In some instances we have helped build a company’s in-house expertise from scratch; in other cases we have worked alongside Corporate Responsibility (CR) teams to help carry out the following:
- Integration of environmental, social and ethical objectives into governance and management;
- Development of CR policy framework;
- Definition and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and setting targets for improvement;
- Performance monitoring, assessment and evaluation;
- Stakeholder engagement and consultation – including dialogue days and focus groups;
- Internal communications, training and education.
